Week 15 NFL Picks

eli

One game over .500 after all the picks last week so lets go back to the normal 6 games:

Miami @ New England (Patriots -7.5): I refuse to not pick the Patriots.

Green Bay @ Buffalo (Packers -3): I get that the Bills D is good but have you seen Aaron Rodgers lately?

Washington @ New York (Giants -6.5): Only because I think I’m currently the 3rd string QB for Washington at this point.

Oakland @ Kansas City (Raiders +10): Why not, they beat the 49ers they should be able to lose by 9 or less against the Chiefs.

Tampa Bay @ Carolina (Panthers -3.5): This division is awful.

Jacksonville @ Baltimore (Jaguars +14.5): That is a massive spread and I feel like maybe the Jags can keep it close.

Week 14 NFL Picks

sanchez

3-3 the trend continues.┬áSo to break it up I’m picking every game for Sunday and Monday!

New York @ Tennessee (Titans +1.5):Giants 1-5 on the road, Titans 1-4 at home does anybody really win in this case?.

Houston @ Jacksonville ( Texans -5.5): Can JJ Watt score the touchdown that covers the spread?

Carolina @ New Orleans (Saints -9): The NFC South is so god awful why can’t the Saints blow it up in their own dome?

Pittsburgh @ Cincinnati (Bengals -3): I have no clue… both teams are inconsistent.

St. Louis @ Washington (Rams -3): I’ll take the Rams on the road just because I love hating on the Redskins.

New York @ Minnesota (Vikings -5): The Jets are just bad.. they put together a decent game last week and still lost, I don’t seem much left in this team.

Baltimore @ Miami (Ravens +3): These two teams are pretty even and its coming down to the wire for Wild Card position… I’m taking Flacco over Tannehill.

Tampa Bay @ Detroit (Lions -10): The Lions destroyed the Bears on Thanksgiving after being down… Tampa can’t hang with this offense

Buffalo @ Denver (Bills +10): Denver should win and could definitely win by more than 10 but I like the Bills defense this year.

Kansas City @ Arizona (Chiefs -2): I hope this isn’t the Chiefs team that showed up against Oakland.

Indianapolis @ Cleveland (Colts -3): Andrew Luck is good and Brian Hoyer is not.

San Francisco @ Oakland (Raiders +8.5): I don’t believe in the 49ers offense right now and that makes me sad.

Seattle @ Philadelphia (Eagles -1): Should be the game of the week with both teams coming off solid Thanksgiving Day wins. I’m taking the home team/east coast advantage.

New England @ San Diego (Patriots -3.5): Don’t care if they lost last week, staying with the Patriots should make people money.

MONDAY NIGHT: Atlanta @ Green Bay (Packers -13): This spread is ridiculous but I don’t care, the Packers are legit and the Falcons are awful on the road. Everybody is awful playing in Green Bay.

Week 12 NFL Picks

fitzgerald

Alright back to back .500 weeks, need to get back in the positive:

Detroit @ New England (Patriots -7.5): Eventually the line will get too big and this could be the game but I refuse to go against the Patriots right now.

Dallas @ New York (Cowboys -3.5): Don’t love the Cowboys away from home but just give the ball to Murray and they should be fine.

Arizona @ Seattle (Cardinals +6.5): I mean I get 12th man but really a touchdown underdog for the best team in the NFC?

St. Louis @ San Diego (Chargers -4.5): Chargers are struggling against the spread this season but I’m taking a leap and thinking Big Game/Next Game let down for the Rams.

Cincinnati @ Houston (Bengals +1.5): I get the line and don’t get the inconsistency of the Bengals but I’m going to show a little faith in Dalton.

Tampa Bay @ Chicago (Bears -5.5): The Bears aren’t great but the Bucs are worse.

Week 11 NFL Picks

New England Patriots at Washington Redskins 08/28/09

Still positive after going .500 last week (31-29 overall) so lets attempt to keep it going. I don’t love a lot of these spreads and will be less than shocked if I don’t “Hank” this week.

Houston @ Cleveland (Browns -3): I can’t believe I’m still picking the Browns either.

Denver @ St. Louis (Broncos -10): The Rams just don’t have the fire power to keep up with Manning.

Philadelphia @ Green Bay (Packers -6): I don’t love this line but Aaron Rodgers has only lost like 3 games at home ever. I’ll take the Packers after they demolished Chicago.

Minnesota @ Chicago (Bears -3.5): The Bears defense is absolutely terrible but I think a shootout still favors Cutler and Marshall.

Detroit @ Arizona (Lions +1): I don’t trust Drew Stanton even if he has a stellar defense to protect him.

New England @ Indianapolis (Patriots +3): In my General Ackbar “It’s a trap” pick I’m taking the Pats here. Because of my lack of football knowledge I fail to comprehend how a team that has Tom Brady at Quarterback with a 5 game win streak, who have scored over 40 points in their last two games can be an underdog even on the road.

Week 10 NFL Picks

lamarmiller

5-1 Last week puts us at 28-26 this year against the spread. Little bit of a confidence boost going into this week’s picks, however there are a lot of games where teams are favored by more than a touchdown so anything could happen this week.

Pittsburgh @ New York (Steelers -4): Big Ben probably isn’t going to put up 6 touchdowns again but the Steelers are hot and the Jets are terrible.

San Francisco @ New Orleans (Saints -5.5): I hate everything about this pick including picking against my Niners but I just don’t feel good about this team this year.

Miami @ Detroit (Dolphins +3.5). Lamar Miller is on fire this season and Ryan Tannehill is managing the quarterback position extremely well. This team reminds me a lot of the Chiefs and speaking of…

Kansas City @ Buffalo (Chiefs -2.5): This is a tough road game for Kansas City but I think they can pull out a big road win at Buffalo.

Green Bay @ Chicago (Packers -7): The Packers are something like 9-1 against Cutler and these teams are going in different directions. Parlay this with Brandon Marshall going insane on the sideline at some point.

Carolina @ Philadelphia: (Eagles -6.5): The Eagles are 4-0 at home this year and I just don’t think there is any way Carolina can keep up with their offense.

Week 9 NFL Picks

watt

Meh 3-3 last week but a couple of fun match ups this week:

Philadelphia @ Houston (Eagles -2.5): Is J.J. Watt an offensive player in any fantasy leagues yet?

Arizona @ Dallas (Cardinals +4.5): Tony Romo has back issues and this feels like a good time for Dez Bryant to have his annual freak out on the sideline.

Jacksonville @ Cincinnati (Jaguars +11.5): Bernard is out, Green is questionable… maybe Bortles won’t piss this game away and keep it close.

Denver @ New England (Broncos -3.5): Brady vs Manning, Brady has all of the advantages this game but I still like Peyton.

Baltimore @ Pittsburgh (Steelers +1.5): I don’t expect Big Ben to throw 17 touchdowns again but I think the Steelers are better especially at home.

Indianapolis @ New York (Colts -3.5): I want to believe Luck can avoid back to back losses but honestly I just hate the Giants.

Week 8 NFL Picks

aaronrodgers

2 and 4 after such promising signs of redemption. I hate everything so for this week I’m going to give you my picks and then tell you while they are wrong.

Detroit @ Atlanta (Lions -3.5): I have no business picking this game.

Chicago @ New England (Patriots -6): Tom Brady is too old and this is a sucker’s line based the Patriots smacking the Bengals a couple weeks ago and the Bears play much better on the road this season since nobody boos them.

Minnesota @ Tampa Bay (Vikings +2.5): Honest to god I can’t tell you why this pick will or won’t suck.

Houston @ Tennessee (Texans -2.5): Rookie quarterback Zach Mettenberger is getting his first start for the Titans and eats so many lucky charms before the game he literally shoots a rainbow out of his ass after his first of five touchdowns.

Philadelphia @ Arizona (Eagles +2.5): Arizona’s defense slams Shady McCoy early, Foles throws interception after interception, and Chip Kelly isn’t present because he is already interviewing for the Florida job.

Green Bay @ New Orleans (Packers +2.5): New Orleans comes out like hurricane and blows away Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Too Soon?

Week 7 NFL Picks

Back to .500 lets take a look at this week’s games:

Seattle @ St.Louis (Seahawks -6.5): I have a feeling somebody will be quite angry coming off of a loss last week. Perfect opportunity for Richard Sherman to yell about something.

Arizona @ Oakland: (Cardinals -3.5): Is Billy Beane available for football?

Kansas City @ San Diego: (Chargers -4): If only Keenan Allen would be nearly as successful in fantasy as his team has been on the field.

Minnesota @ Buffalo: (Bills -5): The Bills D-line is ridiculously good this year.

New York @ Dallas (Giants +6.5): I don’t trust the Cowboys yet.

Houston @ Pittsburgh (Steelers -3): The model of inconsistency I still want to believe in the Steelers at home on MNF.

Vontaze Burfict is a Dirty Punk

burfict

In case you hadn’t heard, Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict was the subject of criticism this past weekend after his game against the Panthers. As if a game ending in a tie isn’t awful enough, you have this joke of a player on the field giving football players a bad name.

On two separate occasions Burfict was caught twisting Cam Newton and Greg Olsen’s ankles at the tail end of a tackle. Burfict’s tackle on Greg Olsen happened as Olsen fell into the end zone for a touchdown.

This guy should be suspended multiple games if not for the rest of the season as this is clear evidence of intentionally trying to hurt a player. Burfict is tied for the team league in penalties this season having only played one full game and led the Bengals last year in penalties that included eight personal foul penalties.

Look I get that it is a violent game and personally have issues with all of the penalties that are called and the hypocrisy of the game. This is different, this is a coward that can’t get the job done on the field when he is supposed to so he is taking cheap, dirty shots that can impact a player’s career. ┬áThere are probably other players that do this and haven’t been publicized, well here is the opportunity to send a message. Suspend him for at least 3 games and fine the hell out of him. There is no place in the game for this type of antics.

Week 6 NFL Picks

By Jeffrey Beall

By Jeffrey Beall

Coming off a 5-1 week lets see if the success can continue:

Denver @ New York Jets (Broncos -9.5): Jets don’t have a consistent quarterback anymore and the offense most likely to pick apart a decent Jets defense is Denver.

Washington @ Arizona (Cardinals -3.5): Washington coming off short week and big game against Seattle and have to travel across the country… not favorable.

Chicago @ Atlanta (Falcons -3.5): I’m going to keep riding the Falcons at home because both of these teams are as inconsistent as it gets.

Baltimore @ Tampa Bay (Ravens -3.5): I’m starting to not like these three and a half point spreads

San Francisco @ St. Louis (49ers -3.5): I’ve learned nothing.

San Diego @ Oakland (Chargers -7.5): Because why the hell not Oakland is awful.
